Hero MotoCorp Q2 FY25 Earnings: Hero MotoCorp on Thursday reported a record standalone net profit of Rs 1,204 crore for the July-September period, translating to an increase of 14 per cent over the corresponding period a year ago and beating Street expectations. The New Delhi-headquartered auto major, whose popular motorcycles include Splendor Plus, HF Deluxe, Passion Plus and Pleasure Plus, said it recorded a record retail of 16 lakh units during the festive period.

Its revenue grew to a record Rs 10,463 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year, from Rs 9,445 crore a year ago, according to a regulatory filing. 

The auto major's margin, a key measure of profitability, improved by 40 basis points (bps) to 14.5 per cent.  

Hero MotoCorp sold 15.20 lakh motorcycles and scooters in the September quarter against 14.16 lakh in the year-ago period.

Its quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew 14 per cent to Rs 1,516 crore. 

According to Zee Business research, Hero MotoCorp was estimated to register a net profit of Rs 1,160 crore, revenue of Rs 10,256 crore and margin of 14.7 per cent for the fiscal second quarter.

“We have continued our exceptional performance in Q2 FY’25, once again creating a new high in both top-line and bottom-line. Our strong focus on cash management has resulted in us delivering strong cash flow, strengthening our financial position even further," said Niranjan Gupta, CEO, Hero MotoCorp. 

He also said that the recently concluded festive season saw the company clocking its highest ever retails, backed by higher demand from the rural sector. "We believe that the strong monsoon will help the momentum in the Industry going forward. The fundamentals look good for the Indian economy in general and the two-wheeler industry in particular," Gupta added. 

Hero MotoCorp New Launches 

Hero MotoCorp highlighted that it had unveiled three new motorcycles at the 2024 EICMA event: the Xpulse 210, the Xtreme 250R and the Karizma XMR 250. .  

Hero MotoCorp Share Price 

Hero MotoCorp shares ended higher by Rs 83.2, or 1.8 per cent, at Rs 4,604.3 apiece on BSE. 

At the current level, the two-wheeler maker's stock has rewarded investors with a 45 per cent return in the past one year, outperforming the Nifty50's 20 per cent return and comparable with the Nifty Auto's 40 per cent rally.
