The base salary of Satya Nadella has increased to 2,333,333 dollars in 2019 from 1,500,000 dollars in 2018.
Meanwhile, his stock awards, non-equity incentive plan compensation, other compensations have also increased. It may be noted that the financial year of Microsoft runs from July 1 to June 30. While, the next earnings report of Microsoft is due on October 23, 2019. Also, at present, there are only two United States (US) companies- Apple and Microsoft, which are valued at 1 trillion dollar market capitalization.
Microsoft said in its statement that Satya Nadella’s strategic leadership, including his efforts to strengthen trust with customers, drive for a company-wide culture change, and successful entry and expansion into new technologies and markets.
Microsoft's market capitalization has increased by $509 billion (from $302 billion to $811 billion), during the first five-year performance period.
Microsoft's annual shareholder's meeting for this year will be held virtually and hosted by Satya Nadella, Amy Hood, chief financial officer, Brad Smith, President and chief legal officer and John W. Thompson, Microsoft independent board chair.
