Google takes acquisitions to the next level with six companies during 2016
Just this week it had acquired two companies, ie Moodstocks and Anvato.
Google has been one of the most active of the global tech giants when it comes to the acquisition of companies. It has acquired nearly 200 companies since 2001, according to a CB Insights report.
It has taken its company acquisition strategy to the next level this year as it has already acquired 6 companies in 2016 till date.

Just this week it had acquired two companies, ie Moodstocks, a machine-learning startup that turns your mobile device into a scanner to identify objects and Anvato, a desktop and mobile video platform.
Last month it acquired Webpass, a telecommunication platform from California. Other acquisitions this year include Synergyse, Pie and Bandpage.
Last year the total acquisitions made by Google was 15 companies.
However, the highest acquisitions made by Google was in 2014 when it acquired 35 companies
