Low-cost carrier IndiGo on Monday said it will launch 20 new flights across its domestic network from July, which includes introduction of the first direct flight from Kolkata to Chandigarh and Indore.

According IndiGo, effective from July 1, 2018, it will operate a second daily flight on Bengaluru-Varanasi and Bengaluru-Chandigarh sectors, and a third daily flight on Ranchi-Bengaluru and Indore-Bengaluru routes. 

"6E will also operate an additional flight between Cochin and Tiruchirappalli and Tiruchirappalli and Bengaluru effective June 28, 2018," the company said in a statement.

Effective from July 15, 2018, the airline would also introduce its first direct flight on Kolkata-Chandigarh and Kolkata-Indore routes, and a non-stop flight between Chandigarh and Srinagar (return), besides a second non-stop daily flight between Indore and Nagpur (return), it said.

"IndiGo is reinforcing its commitment to on-time performance by announcing new frequencies from Chandigarh, Varanasi, Ranchi, Indore and Tiruchirappalli connecting Bengaluru. 

"Kolkata -Chandigarh, Kolkata – Indore and Chandigarh – Srinagar have also emerged as sectors that have started attracting both leisure and business passengers in the recent past and hold immense potential for IndiGo," the airline's chief commercial officer Sanjay Kumar said.

IndiGo is India's largest airline with a market share of 39.5 per cent in March 2018. With its fleet of 153 Airbus A320 and 6 ATR aircraft as of 31st March 2018, the airline offered 1,086 peak daily flights during the quarter and connected 42 domestic destinations and 8 international destinations.
