Franklin EV makes a major contribution to the Fast-Growing Electric Vehicle Industry in India
Though there are a bunch of companies engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling electric vehicles, the one Indian company that has left an indelible mark in this space is Franklin EV.
As more and more people get conscious about conserving the environment, the demand for eco-friendly products continues to grow rapidly. Conventional fuel-powered vehicles are one of the biggest contributors to environmental pollution. That is one of the reasons why a large number of people today prefer investing in emission-free electric vehicles. The market for electric vehicles is growing at a rapid pace. As per a report, the EV market in India will grow by 90% and be valued at $150 billion by the year 2030.

Though there are a bunch of companies engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling electric vehicles, the one Indian company that has left an indelible mark in this space is Franklin EV. The company specializes in manufacturing electric two-wheelers that are designed to be noise and emission-free. The EV vehicle manufacturing company was launched in 2019 by entrepreneurs Ranjith Kumar and Satya Prakash and in a very short span of time, it has made its presence felt in the Southern region of India.
Talking about the vision of Franklin EV, co-founder Ranjith Kumar says, “We strive to bring out new innovations in the electric vehicle space and make a contribution towards these vehicles becoming more accessible to the masses. Apart from being environment-friendlythe vehicles manufactured by Franklin EV are economical, cost-effective and easy to use and maintain. Though we are currently selling our products in South India, we hope to have a pan-India presence soon. Apart from ensuring the growth of our company, building a sustainable future for our world is the larger goal we are working towards. ”
Franklin EV’s manufacturing unit is in Hyderabad, it has more than 35 outlets in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The vehicles manufactured by the company boast of state-of-the-art technology and feature the kind of functionality that suits Indian riders. The company has launched three models so far in the form of Nix, Nix - Dlx and Power+ & Koro. On a single charge, each of these vehicles can cover a distance of more than a 100 kilometres.
Elaborating on the company’s plans this year, co-founder Satya Prakash states, “The kind of response we have got from our consumers in just three years has encouraged us to bring out more variants. This year itself, we will be launching a couple of new models. One of these models, which features our patented design and has been integrated with faster charging solutions, will bring a revolution in the electric vehicle market. We are very confident about its potential and expect it to emerge as a high-selling product. We will announce it soon and then, carry out an extensive marketing campaign to promote it.”
Among some of their other major plans for 2022 include opening more than 20 outlets in the state of Karnataka and launching another large facility in Hyderabad. Franklin EV has received many subsidies from the State and Central Government and that has enabled the company to produce affordable electric vehicles for its consumers. All its innovations and plans are based on the company’s inherent goal to make more and more consumers switch from vehicles that run on petrol or diesel to ones that run on electric energy.
