Four days left for Jio Prime membership; should you subscribe?
With only four days to go for customers to enrol into Reliance Jio’s ‘Prime’ the company has pulled out all the stops and launched additional bumper proposals to push for this offer.
The Prime membership of RJio was launched for the continuation of the new entrant’s ‘Happy New Year’ offer with a one-time payment of Rs 99.
While launching the offer, MD of Reliance Industries said, “Unlimited maza continued hoynga.”
Prime membership also would give its subscribers more than a third of data value than other Jio customers, as per an earlier article by Zeebiz.

On February 21, Ambani unveiled the first tariff plan of Jio, who will start charging its customers from April 1 after a period of 170 days since its launch in September.
The plan was Rs 303 which gave unlimited free voice calling to local and STD numbers with no cap on minutes, no roaming charges, 28 GB data at 4G speed with FUP of 1GB per day and free local SMSes for a period of 28 days only.
This plan will also give its users free subscriptions to Jio Apps.
Tariff plans of the company ranged from Rs 19 to Rs 9,999 which offered data under Jio non Prime subscription from 100Mb to 200 Gb for validity of 1 to 30 days respectively.
While Jio Prime offered data ranging from 200 Mb to 750 Gb for validity of 1 to 30 days respectively.
Jio, hopeful that its current subscriber base would tune into Prime members had set a target of 100 million, which was its current reported user base as per the company.
A report by Gadgets 360 on Monday quoted sources that said the current subscription amounted to around 22-27 million.
Jio refused to comment on Zeebiz queries of number of paid subscriptions and subscriptions under Jio Prime.
The company launched a ‘buy one get one free’ offer at the beginning of the month wherein if users recharged before March 31 they would get ‘add-on’ benefits to the existing recharge schemes.
The scheme unveiled two offers, the first being if you recharge with Rs 303 then you get a free add-on of Rs 201 which gives you 5GB free data to the existing 28GB that comes with the 303 plan.
Secondly the company said if you recharge with any plan of Rs 499 and above you will get a free add-on of Rs 301 which gives you 10GB free data.
Last week Jio came out with another bumper offer that would give customers Rs 50 back with every Jio payment.

In an investor presentation on March 3, RIL said that Reliance Jio was ‘well positioned to garner more than 50% market revenue share’ in India.
