Companies such automobile to even FMCG products use jingles to bring about brand recall. Many may still remember Nirma's iconic jingle “Washing powder Nirma”.

However, while many may get all of these things right, there are several brands that fail to get customers to the right tune. And like the Airtel 4G ad they can be extremely aggravating if they are played every 5-10 minutes on TV.

Here are some of ads with the most peculiar TV ad jingles:

1. Lenovo Yoga Notebook ad: Currently your TV may be spammed with this ad. The jingle for the ad after a while it begins to sound like “Please don't buy the book” instead of “He's not by the book” repeated at least 50 times by a woman in a pitch keeps going higher towards the end.

2. Samsung Galaxy J series ads: The ad featuring Shahid Kapoor has a jingle which draws inspiration from a nursery rhyme 'Johny Johny Yes Papa'. It seems that creators of this ad (Cheil India) missed interpreted the brief and thought they were selling candy to a bunch of kids. And while you are targeting this particular Galaxy series to the youth, they certainly do not want to be treated as kids.

3. Cartrade.com: While many may blame their dog for destroying many things at home, in this ad the creators in no way can blame the dogs. Besides, for a website that targets people buying used cars the use dogs doesn't send the right message. However, the peculiar jingle in the ad says it all.

4. Quikr Services ad: While Quikr is know for some good ads and jingles in the past, in the particular ad for Quikr Services it seems like the jingle writer of the agency (McCann) had taken a day off or was replaced by an intern.

5. Dettol ad: It seems that the same intern worked on the ad above had something to do with it. Remember if you keep repeating something many times doesn't mean it will happen, or in this case buy your product.
