Exclusive: Tata Advanced Systems likely to bag 100 wheeler armor vehicle platform order from Indian Army, say sources
Tata Advance Systems and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) - a national agency responsible for the development of technology and systems for defense purposes - have jointly developed the 8x8 wheeled armored platform.
Tata group company Tata Advanced Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, is likely to receive an order of more than 100 wheeler armor vehicle platforms from the Indian Army, sources told Zee Business. A Request for Information (RFI) may be issued soon in this regard, according to the sources. A Request for Information is a crucial step undertaken by organisations to gather information about potential suppliers, or vendors, which serves as a preliminary measure before the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP).

The contract can be signed within the next one year, the sources said.
