Digital Push: Major oil companies provides discount on online payment for LPG refill
In a move to boost online payment for LPG refill, major oil companies like Indian Oil Corp, Bharat Petroleum Corp Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Limited (HPCL) on Tuesday announced upfront discount of Rs 5 on every LPG refill for their customers.
In a move to boost online payment for LPG refill, major oil companies like Indian Oil Corp, Bharat Petroleum Corp Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Limited (HPCL) on Tuesday announced upfront discount of Rs 5 on every LPG refill for their customers.
It said, "Customers can make payment through existing online modes i.e net banking, credit & debit cards at the time of web-booking their refills."
While making online LPG booking, customers will get the discounted amount displayed on their screens – i.e. net amount i.e refill RSP minus (-) incentive amount of Rs.5/- which they need to pay for their refill transactions.
Under the sponsorship of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, it an attempt of all oil marketing companies to motivate consumers to increasingly shift to such payment modes through digital platforms to achieve the objective of no-cash or less-cash based transactions.
