Coal India Q4 Results: Profit declines 17.68%, revenue jumps 16.64%
Coal India Q4 Results: Coal India on Sunday, May 5, 2023, announced its fourth-quarter results, registering a decline of 17.68 per cent in its consolidated net profit. The profit delcined to Rs 5527.62 crore in the January-March quarter this year from Rs 6,715 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
However, the company's revenue jumped 16.64 per cent to Rs 38,152.34 crore in FY23 Q4 from Rs 32708.69 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company in its filing today informed that its total income in the quarter under review jumped 17.08 per cent from Rs 34,473.52 crore to Rs 40,362.36 crore in the fourth quarter last year.
CIL's profit after tax for FY23 saw a huge jump of 61.84 per cent, soaring from Rs 17,378.42 crore to 28,124.94 crore in the correponding year.
CIL on Sunday also announced a final dividend of Rs 4 per share of the face value of Rs 10.
"Further, the Board of Directors in its meeting held on date had recommended payment of Final Dividend for the financial year 2022-23 @ 4/- per share of the face value of Rs 10/- as recommended by the Audit Committee of CIL in its meeting held on date subject to approval of the Members at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Company," the company said in its filing on Sunday.
