Canara Bank Q2 results: Net profit jumps 200% to Rs 1,333 cr

State-run Canara Bank on Tuesday reported a 200.22% jump in its net profit to Rs 1,333 crore in the quarter ended in September.

Canara Bank registered a 21.91% y-o-y increase to Rs 5604 crore in operating profit for the quarter ended in September.
CASA increased by Rs 35,934 cr y-o-y, improving the CASA Ratio by 135 bps. Housing Loan increased by Rs 8386 Cr y-o-y, and Retail Loans recorded a growth of Rs 11,277 Cr y-o-y.
The Bank's Domestic Business recorded a growth of Rs 1,05,149 crore y-o-y. Gross NPA was at 8.42% q-o-q, a decline of 8 bps. Treasury Income stood at Rs 1,754 crore y-o-y, a growth of 95.10%.
Cash Recovery was at Rs 3717 crore y-o-y, a growth of 90.32%. The bank's Current Deposit was at Rs 43,994 crore y-o-y, a surge of 11.14%.
