It is a war zone in telecom market and state-owned BSNL is not ready to put down its weapons and armour against its private sector rivals. In a latest move, it has been revealed that BSNL has introduced a new broadband plan, which has daily data limit. This new offer launch by BSNL is to give stiff competition to Reliance Jio’s GigaFiber. RJio has been disrupting the telecom market with its heavy data, freebies and unlimited voice calls at dirt-cheap rate and this has now stretched to broadband too. BSNL is the only state-owned company that has not given up on the tariff war stirred up by Reliance Jio,  compared to other telecom service providers like PSU MTNL or private players like Reliance Communications, Telenor.

BSNL has now unveiled four new Fibre-to-Home plans that are priced at Rs 99, Rs 199, Rs 229 and Rs 399, and offer up to 600GB of data benefit for a month and unlimited voice calls, as per DNA report.

Reportedly, BSNL has kept the speed at 20mbps along with an after FUP speed of 1mbps respectively. However, the Rs 99 plan offers the least benefit while the Rs 399 plan will offer the highest FUP limit a month.

RJio last month went live with its Gigafiber launch by allowing registration for the optical fibre based fixed-line broadband service through which it has claimed to offer download speed of one gigabit per second.

This is not first time BSNL has introduced something to take on RJio’s fiber plan. In the July month, way before Jio Gigafiber could go live, the company revised its premium fiber broadband plans and is now providing high speed internet alongside free calling.

The BSNL’s FTTH broadband plans that have gone under revision are Fibro Combo ULD 3999, Fibro Combo ULD 5999, Fibro Combo ULD 9999 & Fibro Combo ULD 16999.
