Facing stiff competition from rival telcom firms, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has once again revised a few of its plans related to data, validity period and other changes to retain its customers and to attract new ones. The state owned telco has revamped prepaid STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers) besides extending more data under the new offers. According to TelecomTalk, the BSNL in its prepaid portfolio has introduced changes in the STV 35, which earlier offered 200MB data, but will now extend 5GB data to subscribers for a validity period of 5 days. The plan previously used to offer data for five days, but now the data has been extended by almost 25 times for the same period.

BSNL has also revised STV 395 to offer unlimited calling, national roaming except in Mumbai and Delhi circles, offering FUP data of 2GB per day which is throttled down to 80 Kbps after the validity period of 71 days. Earlier, this plan was devoid of benefits on calling front as it used to bundle 3000 minutes on net voice calls and 1800 minutes off-net voice calls along with the 2GB per day data, according to TelecomTalk.
