BSNL offers 1500GB FUP limit on its Rs 4999 FTTH plan; all details here
The new plan of BSNL offers 100Mbps speed which will be decreased to 2Mbps, but only when subscribers reach the FUP limit.
The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) continues to lure customers and this time the company has enhanced it’s Rs 4,999 fibre-to-home (FFTH) plan giving stiff competition to Reliance Jio’s Jio Fiber. The BSNL FTTH plan is available in Chennai with an an FUP limit of 1500GB. Earlier, news has circulated that RJio is now looking to capture wired broadband space by giving 1.1TB of free data at a speed of 100mbps in JioFiber plans. However no confirmation was given by the Mukesh Ambani led company, and looks like BSNL has taken the opportunity to stay afloat in telecom market which has been disrupted by RJio.
The new plan of BSNL offers 100Mbps speed which will be decreased to 2Mbps once subscribers reach the FUP limit.
According to TelecomTalk, BSNL has 100G optical transport network to deliver an ultra-fast broadband experience in select circles, and its FTTH services are already competing against the offerings delivered by ACT Fibernet and Spectra.
Apart from this, BSNL’s Rs 4999 FTTH plan is also giving one email ID access along with free space and one free static IP address.
It needs to be noted that, subscribers who are already operating under BSNL’s FTTH plan ranging from Rs 999 to Rs 2999 also have an option to upgrade the plan by reaching out to their nearby customer care centre or calling the BSNL helpline.
Furthermore, with the introduction of new FTTH plan, BSNL has also revised the existing ones. The Rs 999 FTTH plan is giving 250GB of FUP limit at 60Mbps speed, whereas users having recharge pack like Rs 1,299, Rs 1,699, Rs 1,999, Rs 2,999 can avail up to 80Mbps of download and upload speeds.
Meanwhile, the Rs 1,299 plan is packed with 400GB of FUP limit, further the Rs. 1,699 plan offers 550GB FUP, Rs 1,999 plan provides 800GB FUP, and Rs 2,999 plan gives 900GB FUP.
The above mentioned plans also have unlimited local and STD voice calling benefits to any network.
As for RJio, report said initial FTTH plan includes 100 gigabytes (GB) of free data at 100 mbps speed; once the data limited is exhausted, the customers can do top-up of 40 GB of free data 25 times in a month, effectively meaning 1,100 GB of free data a month. However, we will wait and watch on RJio’s decision in regards to Jio Fibre.
