Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine has already arrived in India and is expected to be available in the market by the next week. Currently, India is battling the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although, the vaccination drive has already started in India still a considerable portion of the population is yet to get vaccinated.

Along with Covaxin and Covishield, the availability of Sputnik V from Russia, which is the third Covid-19 vaccine to be available in India, will be a booster dose for the current Covid-19 vaccination drive in the country.

Indian pharma company Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has in-licensed Russia’s Covid-19 vaccine and rolled out Sputnik V in the local market on Friday, 14 May. The imported doses of the vaccine are currently priced at Rs 995.40 per dose, with the possibility of a lower price point when the local supply will start.
