In a bid to stay ahead in the fierce comptetion among telecom companies to retain their subscribers base, Bharti Airtel has reintroduced Rs 100 and Rs 500 prepaid talk time recharge pack. The company along with Vodafone Idea had to face criticism for removal of talk time recharges, besides losing subscribers. The recent move is likely to please a lot of Airtel customers who earlier faced disruption in services.

The recharge plans available with My Airtel app has listed two plans, Rs 100 and Rs 500, which were removed. Rs 100 plan comes with Rs 81.75 talk time with 28 days validity, while Rs 500 offer ships Rs 420.73 talk time along with 28 days validity, according to a TelecomTalk report. 

When Airtel had removed the talk time recharges, introducing minimum recharge packs with Rs 35, the telco started losing out subscribers on a rapid pace, said the report. Airtel appears to have realised this folly, therefore, decided to reintroduce the plan to retain its subscribers.

Bharti Airtel has also introduced the high validity prepaid plans, launching Rs 1,699 prepaid plan. This offer comes with with 365 days validity, said the report, adding that the company also introduced Rs 998 and Rs 597 prepaid plans, which come with 336 and 168 days validity respectively.

Notably, Rs 998 prepaid plan offers 12GB data for the entire validity period along with 300 SMSes per month, besides extending benefits like unlimited free, STD, roaming and local calls for the validity period of 336 days.
