According to Zee Business research, Bharti Airtel is estimated to register a consolidated net profit of Rs 4,620 crore for the July-September period, which translates to a quarter-on-quarter increase of 11.1 per cent.

The analysts expect the telecom firm's second-quarter revenue at Rs 41,150 crore as against Rs 38,506 crore three months ago.

Bharti Airtel is expected to register Rs 22,000 crore in quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), up 11.6 per cent sequentially, according to the research.

Zee Business analysts peg Bharti Airtel's September-quarter margin at 53.5 per cent, higher than a margin of 51.2 per cent for the fiscal first quarter. This marks an improvement of 230 basis points (bps) sequentially.

Zee Business analysts expect Bharti Airtel to log growth to the tune of 11 per cent in its India wireless business sequentially driven by higher average revenue per user (ARPU) given the company's tariff hikes.

They estimate the telecom firm's ARPU—a key measure of income for telecom operators—to improve to Rs 232 from Rs 211 in the June quarter. 

The analysts estimate its Africa business to register growth of about one per cent sequentially.

According to Zee Business research, Bharti Airtel is also expected to register a net addition of 25 lakh wireless users during the second quarter of the current financial year.

On Monday, Bharti Airtel shares rose by as much as Rs 13, or 0.8 per cent, to Rs 1,677.4 apiece in mid-morning deals on BSE.   

At the current levels, the Bharti Airtel stock has rewarded investors with an 80 per cent return in the past year, sharply outperforming a 45 per cent gain in the S&P BSE Telecom index. 

Headline index Nifty50 has rallied 27.5 per cent during this period.
