Banks to shut over next 3 days; association urges customers to complete bank transactions today
Banks will remain shut over the next three days due to Holi festival on Monday.
The Indian Banks Association (IBA) has asked customers to complete urgent banking transactions on Friday in view of the next three days being bank holidays.
Banks in several parts of the country will be closed tomorrow (on account of it being the month's second Saturday), on March 12 (Sunday) and for the Holi festival on March 13.
"The Indian Banks' Association appeals to all bank customers to complete the necessary banking transactions on March 10," IBA said in a statement.
Under the 10th bipartite wage settlement between bank unions and IBA, the second and fourth Saturdays of every month will be holidays. The remaining Saturdays will be full working days for banks.
