Bajaj Auto dividend: Auto major's board gives nod to Rs 140/share dividend for 2022-23
The board of directors approved a final dividend of Rs 140 of the face value of Rs 10 each on equity shares.
Bajaj Auto final dividend: Leading automobile company Bajaj Auto on Tuesday announced its dividend of 1400 per cent. The board of directors approved a final dividend of Rs 140 of the face value of Rs 10 each on equity shares.
"In line with the Company's Dividend Distribution Policy, the Board of Directors has approved I recommended a dividend at the rate Rs.140 per share (1400%) of face value of Rs. 1 0 each on equity shares for the financial year ended 31 March 2023. The said dividend, if declared by the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting, will be credited/dispatched on or around 28 July 2023," the company announced in its filing.
This is the third year in a row the company has announced a dividend of Rs 140. In 2022 and 2021, the company gave one dividend each, both of which were Rs 140.
The company has historically handed out one dividend each year in last six years.
Even when the automobile business was severely hit by the coronavirus pandemic, the company managed to give a dividend.
Bajaj Auto final dividend: What is record date?
The company in its filing says that if the dividend as recommended by the Board of Directors is approved at the annual general meeting, payment of such dividend, subject to deduction of tax at source, will be made on or around Friday, 28 July, 2023.
However, in the same filing, the company says the record date for the same is Friday, June 30, 2023.
