Baaghi 2 new Super Hit of Bollywood; outruns Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety movie with Rs 154 crore collection
Baaghi 2 grossed a good 10.50 crore nett in its third week and took its three week total to 154 crore nett making it the 19th highest nett grosser ever. It will remain in 19th place as the 18th position film is Krrish 3 at 175 crore nett.
Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have been virtually defying gravity with the way their latest film’s earnings have been soaring. Baaghi 2 has become the new ‘Super Hit’ of Bollywood with box office collection of over Rs 154 crore in three weeks. With this, the movie has also outrun Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which stars Kartik Aryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar in lead role.
According to Box Office collection reports, Baaghi 2 grossed a good 10.50 crore nett in its third week and took its three week total to 154 crore nett making it the 19th highest nett grosser ever. It will remain in 19th place as the 18th position film is Krrish 3 at 175 crore nett.
Further the report highlighted that, the film is the highest grossing film of 2018 in Bihar, Assam, Odisha and Rajasthan. the last mentioned is because Padmaavat did not release in this circuit. Padmaavat did not release in Gujarat also but despite that Baaghi 2 is not able to match the collections of Padmaavat in Mumbai circuit (Gujarat is a sub circuit of Mumbai).
However, Baaghi 2 has managed to surpass ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ which has recorded collection of Rs 100 crore since release.
As per Bollywood Movie Review, Baaghi 2 is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 60 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost. This is the highest cost ever for a tiger Shroff movie. The previous version Baaghi was made at an all inclusive cost of Rs 47 Crores.
Not only this, Baaghi 2 is also the sixth highest movie so far in 2017-18. On top of the list is Amir Khan’s Secret Superstar with collection of Rs 750.69 crore, followed by Salman Khan’s two movies namely Tiger Zinda Hai and Bajrangi Bhaijaan with collection of Rs 336.95 crore and Rs 295.32 crore respectively.
Next on the line of top collector in the list would be Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Padmavat’ which recorded collection of Rs 284.68 crore, followed by Golmaal Again with Rs 204.34 crore collection.
Therefore, Baaghi 2 stands at Rs 154.05 crore collection after Rohit Shetty’s comedy movie. While Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stands last in Rs 100 crore club this year.
Baaghi is expected to add another 4-5 crore nett over the remain weeks of its run which will take it close to the 160 crore nett mark.
