Axis Bank Q2 Results: Lender's second-quarter profit rises by 10% to Rs 5,863 crore, beats analysts' estimates

Axis Bank Q2 Results: Axis Bank on Wednesday (October 25, 2023) announced its September quarter results, reporting a standalone profit after tax of Rs 5,863.56 crore to beat Zee Business research estimates of Rs 5,700 crore. The lender's profit of 5,860 crore in the quarter under review is 9.94 per cent higher than its profit of Rs 5,329.77 crore in the same quarter last year.
The lender's net interest income rose 18.87 per cent to Rs 12,315 crore in the second quarter from Rs 10,360 crore in the corresponding period last year, beating research estimates of Rs 11,910 crore.
The bank's net non-performing assets (NPA) decreased to 0.36 per cent from 0.41 per cent sequentially.
While it's gross NPA has decreased to 0.36 per cent from 0.41 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
