AWS announces Dedicated Local Zones focused on public sector, regulated industries
American technology company Amazon Web Services on Wednesday announced AWS Dedicated Local Zones internationally for public sector and regulated industries to meet compliance requirements.
American technology company Amazon Web Services on Wednesday announced AWS Dedicated Local Zones internationally for public sector and regulated industries to meet compliance requirements.
The company said that Singapore government's Smart Nation and Digital Government Group (SNDGG) has signed up for deploying the offering.
As part of the AWS Digital Digital Sovereignty Pledge, the new dedicated infrastructure offering will be fully managed by AWS and is meant for exclusive use by customers and communities, the company said in a blogpost.
The Dedicated Local Zones will be placed in a customer-specified location or data centre for regulatory compliance, AWS added.
