Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, reported a 3% decrease in its total sales for November, disclosing the sale of 14,053 units. This marks a dip from the 14,561 units sold in the same month last year.

The decline is primarily attributed to a 10% drop in sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, with 8,500 units sold in November 2023 compared to 9,474 units in November 2022.

In contrast, the sales of light commercial vehicles saw a positive trend, experiencing a 9% growth.

The company sold 5,553 units in November 2023, up from 5,087 units in the same month last year. Cumulative sales until November 2023 showed an overall 7% increase, reaching 1,22,092 units, compared to 1,14,370 units in the corresponding period last year.

Breaking down the cumulative sales, medium and heavy commercial vehicles demonstrated an 8% growth, totaling 76,936 units, in comparison to 71,356 units sold in November of the previous year.

Meanwhile, light commercial vehicles recorded a 5% cumulative growth, reaching 45,156 units by November 2023, up from 43,014 units in the same period the previous year.
