In a major development in the aviation sector, ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed airline Akasa Air's brand logo and tag line have been unveiled on Wednesday.
Akasa Air on its Twitter handle @AkasaAir wrote, "Unveiling ‘The Rising A’ of Akasa Air Inspired by elements of the sky, The Rising A symbolises the warmth of the sun, the effortless flight of a bird, and the dependability of an aircraft wing. Always moving upwards. Always inspiring to rise."
Akasa Air tweeted a video with the above post unveiling the tag line and brand logo.
'It's your sky' is the tag line of Akasa Air.
Company Statement
In a press release on Wednesday, the airline said the symbol 'rising A' was inspired by elements from the sky. "It symbolises the warmth of the rising sun, the effortless flight of a bird and the dependability of an aircraft wing," it said.
The airline noted that 'It's Your Sky' is the brand's promise to embrace everyone and to create an inclusive environment for all Indians regardless of their socio-economic or cultural backgrounds, as per PTI. "It (tagline) is a powerful pledge of ownership, promise, and possibilities that accompany each traveller on their journeys," the carrier mentioned.
The brand colours, 'Sunrise Orange' and 'Passionate Purple' reflect the airline's warm, youthful, and respectful nature, it said.
Akasa Air: NOC from Aviation Ministry
Earlier, the Ministry of Civil Aviation had given a no-objection certificate (NOC) for the operation of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed new airline 'Akasa Air' in India.

-The new airline aims to start operations by the summer of 2022, the holding company, SNV Aviation Private Limited.
-Akasa Air is backed by ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and ex-Jet Airways CEO Vinay Dube.
-Akasa Air also has former IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh on its board.
-The airline plans to operate approximately 70 planes in the next four years.
