Airtel's Q4FY19 PAT rises by 29.31% - Top details to know
The company's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to owners came in at Rs 107.2 crore in Q4FY19 versus Rs 82.9 crore in Q4FY18.
Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel posted a 29.31% rise on a yearly basis, in its consolidated net profit during March 2019 (Q4FY19) quarter. The company's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to owners came in at Rs 107.2 crore in Q4FY19 versus Rs 82.9 crore in Q4FY18. Q4FY19 PAT also surged by 24.36% from Rs 862 crore in the preceding quarter. On the other hand, consolidated revenue registered single-digit growth, by bagging Rs 20,602.2 crore in Q4FY19, up by 6.22% versus Rs 19,394.5 crore in Q4FY18 and higher by 1.83% from Rs 20,231.1 crore in Q3FY19.
On a geographical basis, Airtel revenue from mobile services in India, was at Rs 10,632.3 crore up by 2.69% from Rs 10,353.2 crore in Q4FY18. Interestingly, the best performer was mobile business in Africa, as revenue from here jumped by 16.48% on yearly basis to Rs 5,511.5 crore. Whereas, revenue from South Asia was up by 8.80% to Rs 112.4 crore compared to a year ago.
On yearly basis, consolidated revenue jumped by 6.21% from Airtel business to Rs 3,003.9 crore. While revenue from tower infrastructure services tumbled by 0.20% yoy to Rs 1,670.4 crore, homes services below 8.37% to Rs 553.6 crore. Digital TV services posted gradual rise of 0.26% to Rs 1,050.5 crore.
For fiscal year FY19, Airtel's revenue came in at Rs 80,780.2 crore down by 2.24% from Rs 82,638.8 crore in FY18. While overall PAT declined by a massive 62.73% to Rs 409.5 crore versus Rs 1,099 crore in FY18.
On standalone basis, Airtel's revenue was slightly up by 0.26% to Rs 12,522 crore in Q4FY19 versus Rs 12,488.8 crore in Q4FY18. Meanwhile, net loss narrowed to Rs 36.7 crore compared to loss f Rs 757.2 crore.
Airtel share price finished at Rs 333.40 per piece up by 0.69% on Sensex.
