Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced its Video Platform as a Service offering -  Airtel IQ. Airtel IQ is a cloud communication vertical.

The platform is starting in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Middle East. Around 50% customer base will be from India and 50% from outside.

Talking to Zee Business, Adarsh Nair, Chief Product Officer, Bharti Airtel said Airtel IQ Video help enterprises build a video streaming business at low cost.

Content lifecycle management, subscriber management, monetization, storage, multi-platform support, and customer service all to come in one package, he added.

He also mentioned that over 150 enterprise customers like HDFC, Kotak Bank, Swiggy, Zomato are part of this. Airtel IQ provides 500 plus calls, 30 TB handled by the platform.

He also mentioned that video is the new fuel. India's OTT market is slated to grow.

Nair further said: "We're ambitious for revenue target. We have 3 customers as of now, will grow further definitely."

However, he denied revealing more numbers on the same.
