After Reliance Jio Diwali Dhamaka offer, BSNL makes a move, unveils Rs 1,097 plan; is it better?
In latest development, BSNL has announced a new annual plan of Rs 1,097 which competes directly with Reliance Jios Rs 1,699 plan.
It has not even been a week since the announcement of Festive Bonanza offer by Reliance Jio and already state-owned BSNL has made its move! It would not be wrong to say that compared to other telcos like Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone, BSNL has managed to unveil a recharge pack that goes neck-to-neck against the Mukesh Ambani led company. In fact, it is quite surprising to see how BSNL can go the extra mile when it comes to luring customers. However, it must be noted that, when compared to RJio, BSNL at the moment does not have the privilege of granting 4GB network services to its subscribers.
In latest development, BSNL has announced a new annual plan of Rs 1,097 which competes directly with Reliance Jio's Rs 1,699 plan.
The new Rs 1,097 plan offers users a total of 25GB data for a validity period of 365 days. This means in a day, a customer will have to use only 0.06GB data per day at BSNL network.
Apart from that, the new plan also gives unlimited voice calling benefit. However, the calls can be made to numbers located in Mumbai and Delhi circles.
Also, it has only been launched in the Kolkata circle. It will be valid until January 6, 2019.
When compared with RJio's latest festive bonanza plan, then BSNL is nowhere near it.
On October 17, Jio announced the Jio Diwali 100% Cashback Offer which brings to users a 100% cashback on Jio recharges of Rs 149 and above this festive season and a new all unlimited Rs 1699 annual plan.
New unlimited annual plan at Rs 1699 entitles users to unlimited data (1.5 GB / day of high speed data), Unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS/ day, as well as access to a host of Jio Premium apps comprising JioTV JioCinema, JioMusic, JioMags, among others.
