Cable installments and FTTH services in Mumbai and Pune were reportedly tested in September when the company was launched.

Jio has also been looking at launching Internet Protocol television (IPTV) services with its ‘Jio Link,’ a report by Gadgets 360 said on Friday adding that the launch date has not been set.

After its Jio Summer Surprise offer was asked to be discontinued by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Thursday the company issued a statement that as per ‘operational feasibility’ the plan would be withdrawn.

While Jio has accepted TRAI’s terms its website states that customers can still subscribe to the Rs 303 recharge (or higher plans) to avail of the Summer Surprise offer till the company finalises on the discontinuation of the plan.
