The Acer MUVI-125-4G was unveiled on Thursday, September 14, at the India Expo Mart.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, remarked that products such as the Acer-branded MUVI-125-4G indicate a promising step towards sustainable transportation solutions. And added that India’s mission to achieve cleaner transportation benefits from the innovation and commitment displayed by such companies.

The company had in 2021 acquired the manufacturing and marketing rights for the European e-scooter brand Muvi from the Spanish automotive company Torrot.
A look at the EV market in India
According to the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, there are 3 million registered EVs in India, and the country's EV sector is predicted to rise to 10 million units in annual sales by 2030, creating 50 million jobs.
In 2022, EV sales increased by 300 per cent, and the market potential is estimated to reach $266 billion by 2030, he said in a press conference last month in Delhi, adding that India has 400 EV start-ups.
Pollution is one of India's major issues, Gadkari said, speaking at a symposium on the safety of electric vehicles in Delhi. "Road transport in India accounts for 40 per cent of CO2 emissions," he added.
According to media reports, Tata Motors Ltd is developing specialty dealerships in India to cater to electric vehicles as part of its goal to further improve its position in the rapidly increasing electric vehicle sector.
