140 Domino's, 20 Dunkin' outlets to open in India: Jubiliant FoodWorks
Food services major Jubilant FoodWorks plans to open 130-140 new Domino's Pizza outlets and around 20 new Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the current fiscal to expand its footprints in the country.
"Restaurant expansion continues to a core priority in order to expand reach.. Aligned to this, for financial year 2016-17, target of (opening) around 130-140 new Domino's Pizza and around 20 new Dunkin' Donuts," Jubilant FoodWorks said in a corporate presentation.
It also added that it would "focus on digitisation and reaching a wider audience through online ordering".
Jubilant FoodWorks operates Domino's Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts chains in India under franchising agreement with the parent companies.
Elaborating on its future portfolio expansion plans, Jubilant FoodWorks said it evaluating bringing in "international renowned brands around QSR or casual dining".
The company added that it is also exploring "starting own brand or acquiring/ investing in some promising domestic brand" to expand its brands portfolio.
As on end of May 2016, Jubilant FoodWorks was operating 1,039 Domino's Pizza outlets across 240 cities and 74 Dunkin' Donuts restaurants across 24 cities in India.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2016, Jubilant FoodWorks reported 6.56 % decline in standalone net profit at Rs 29.46 crore on the account of higher expenses.
Its net sales rose to Rs 617.83 crore for the quarter under review, up 13.99 %, from Rs 542 crore in the same period a year ago.
