Geneva Motor Show 2019: The much awaited automotive extravaganza of 2019, Geneva Motor Show finally kicked off and amazed the world with its 89th edition. One of the oldest motor shows has more than 150 global debuts and a host of electric vehicles. There have been a number of launches by companies like Honda, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Tata, Mahindra, Polestar, Kia, Skoda and many more. 1. Volkswagen new Passat:
Volkswagen unveiled the Passat sedan facelift at the Geneva Motor Show. It was showed with styling changes, and technology advancements. Now with a raft of assistance and connectivity upgrades, it would be a head turner for the audience. (Website)
2. Tata Altroz:
Tata unvieled its Altroz in the show, a crossover based on the IMPACT 2.0 design platform, that will take on its rivals Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and also Honda Jazz in India. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2018, the new Altroz will be the first product to be based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture. (Twitter)
3. Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder convertible:
The all-new Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder convertible has an upgraded 5.2-liter V10 engine with a power of 640 bhp and 599 Nm of torque. It can accelerate at 0-100 kph in 3.1 seconds. The car comes with upgraded software that controls traction and stability, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering, and adaptive dampers. It also sports a new 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity. (Website)
4. Renault Clio:
Renault showed off a new version of its compact car, the Clio, famous French car which will be offered for the first time as a hybrid vehicle. Now with more mature body styling, latest features, and an entirely new interior, it will be a product to look up for. (Reuters)
5. Mahindra Pininfarina Battista:
The Pininfarina Battista is a new $2 million 1,900 horsepower all-electric supercar that can launch itself from zero to 60 under 2 seconds. The company is owned by Mahindra & Mahindra and this will be Mahindra's most expensive EV by far. (Twitter)
