Volkswagen India unveils Virtus GT Plus Sport and GT Line with "More for Less" offer
Volkswagen India has launched the highly anticipated Virtus GT Line and Virtus GT Plus Sport in the Indian market with a fresh and aesthetically enhanced avatar. This launch also includes an upgraded feature package for the Taigun GT Line and the introduction of a new Highline Plus variant for both car lines under the India 2.0 initiative.
Volkswagen India has launched the highly anticipated Virtus GT Line and Virtus GT Plus Sport in the Indian market with a fresh and aesthetically enhanced avatar. This launch also includes an upgraded feature package for the Taigun GT Line and the introduction of a new Highline Plus variant for both car lines under the India 2.0 initiative.
The Virtus has become India’s top sedan, and Volkswagen is committed to maintaining this momentum with the introduction of the Virtus GT Line and Virtus GT Plus Sport, said the company in the official release. The prices start at Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GT Line and Rs 17.84 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GT Plus Sport, both featuring a 6-speed manual transmission.
Commenting on the announcement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “To stay competitive in this market, we have continued to amplify customer excitement with introductions such as GT Line and GT Plus Sport."
"This sporty sedan now gets an evocative new avatar that caters to the discerning customers who are looking for differentiated aesthetics, he added.
The Virtus GT Line democratizes the GT badge with features like an electric sunroof, a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, and a 25.65 cm VW Play touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, KESSY – Push button start stop, Auto dimming IRVM, Rain sensing wipers, Auto headlights and much more. It is powered by the 1.0l TSI engine. Safety is also prioritized, as the GT Line comes standard with six airbags and achieves a 5-star GNCAP safety rating. The Virtus GT Line will offer customers new features such as:

On the other hand, the Virtus GT Plus Sport is aimed at enthusiasts looking for exceptional performance and design. It features a 25.65 cm VW play touchscreen infotainment with
amplifier and subwoofer, 20.32 cm digital cockpit (instrument cluster), electric front
seats (Driver + Co-driver) - 1st in segment, ventilated front seats, auto headlights,
rain sensing wipers and much more.
It also features a powerful 1.5l TSI EVO petrol engine with 6-speed Manual and 7-speed DSG transmission options, along with top-of-the-line specifications, including ventilated front seats and a segment-first electric front seat adjustment. The Virtus GT Plus Sport will
feature aesthetic enhancements on both exterior and interior trims.
