Volkswagen India partners with Centre for its vehicle scheme
Volkswagen India is making its entire range of cars available to beneficiaries of the KPKB scheme across the country.
In a strategic move, Volkswagen India has joined forces with the Centre's Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB) scheme to provide its range of vehicles to personnel of central security agencies and their families.
Under this partnership, Volkswagen India is extending its complete lineup of cars to beneficiaries of the KPKB scheme nationwide. Launched in 2006 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the KPKB scheme serves both active and retired members of the Central Armed Police Forces, along with their families.
With the objective of broadening the reach of its car portfolio, this collaborative initiative aims to offer beneficiaries access to top-notch mobility solutions at an even more affordable price point, as stated by the company in an official announcement.
Volkswagen's product offerings in India include the mid-size sedan Virtus, the sports utility vehicle Taigun, and the premium SUV Tiguan.
The scheme encompasses various security forces such as the Border Security Forces, Central Reserve Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force, and Indo-Tibetan Border Force, among others. Furthermore, the benefits of the KPKB scheme extend to personnel from State Police Forces, the Railway Protection Force, the Intelligence Bureau, the Special Protection Group, the National Crime Records Bureau, and the National Investigation Agency.
