An important news has been revealed by authorities that can prove very bad for vehicle owners. This Uttar Pradesh Traffic Challan update says that if drivers break rules, even the smallest ones, a heavy penalty will be imposed. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has brought in effect new traffic fines in the state for traffic rules violations. According to the report, spitting after tobacco consumption, not wearing a seat belt while driving or drunk driving will attract big fine in Uttar Pradesh from now.

Here is the list of penalties for violating other traffic rules in Uttar Pradesh: 

People will have to pay Rs 500 for spitting tobacco on road.  It is to be noted that spitting tobacco on roads in some of the big cities can get you a challan of upto Rs 1,000, Zee Media Bureau reported.

There's also Rs 1000 fine for child not wearing seat belt. Rs 1000 fine for riding two-wheelers without helmet. Tripling on 2-wheeler- Rs 1000, Taking a turn without using the car indicator Rs 500-1500, using mobile phone while driving - Rs 500-1500

Using caste, political or religious stickers on cars- Rs 500-1500.

People will have to Rs 10,000 for using pressure horns, Rs 10,000 for not giving side to ambulance, Rs 10,000 driving under the influence of alcohol and Rs 10 for urinating on the roadside.
