The unveiling of the Triumph Speed 400 last year at Rs 2.33 lakh sent ripples through the industry, establishing a new precedent in aggressive pricing strategies. Its initial offer of Rs 2.23 lakh further sweetened the deal, applicable to the first 10,000 bookings.

Competitive Pricing Continues

Introduced a few months after the Speed 400, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X hit the market at Rs 2,62,996. Although lacking the initial shock factor of its roadster counterpart, it remained attractively priced, undercutting major competitors like KTM and Royal Enfield.

Incremental Adjustments in Price

Despite the recent increase of just Rs 1,500 in the asking price for both models, the bikes continue to remain competitively priced. The rationale behind this price adjustment is presumed to be inflation and escalating input costs affecting many companies. However, neither Bajaj nor Triumph has disclosed the specifics behind this uptick.
