Toyota Kirloskar Motor has rolled out a new Leader Edition of its best-selling Fortuner SUV in India in a bid to celebrate selling 2.5 lakh Fortuner in the country. Customers can book the SUV in this new special edition right away through its official website or the authorised dealerships across the country.
Pricing
Toyota has not announced an official pricing, instead stating that Fortuner Leader Edition costs would be rolled out at dealerships based on "accessories fitted for the specific requirement". The customers can expect the Leader Edition to cost somewhat more than the normal Fortuner 4x2, which costs between Rs 35.93 lakh and Rs 38.21 lakh.
Features
The Fortuner Leader Edition is based on the basic 4X2 configuration. The Fortuner Leader edition includes new bumper spoilers, which are part of the SUV's official accessory, black alloy wheels, and three dual-tone colour options: super white, platinum pearl white, and silver metallic.
Interior
Inside, the SUV has dual-tone seat coverings, a tyre pressure monitor, auto-folding rearview mirrors, and a wireless charger, among other standard equipment that vary by trim level.
The new Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 201bhp. The Fortuner Leader Edition's torque varies based on the gearbox. The manual version generates 420Nm, while the automatic gearbox version produces 500Nm of peak torque.
