In a remarkable feat, Toyota Kirloskar Motor set a new record for monthly wholesales in January by dispatching 24,609 units, marking a substantial 92% surge compared to the same month last year. This impressive performance eclipses the automaker's dispatch of 12,835 units to dealers in January of the previous year.

Notably, the company recorded robust sales in the domestic market, selling 23,197 units. Additionally, it exported 1,412 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Toyota Kirloskar Motor's Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Sabari Manohar, emphasized the pivotal role played by the company's MPV and SUV offerings in this success. Key contributors included the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and the Legender.

Manohar stated in a release, "The company's MPV and SUV offerings continue to be our greatest strength with major contributions from the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and the Legender." He added that other offerings such as the Camry Hybrid, Glanza, Hilux, Vellfire, and the Rumion have also contributed significantly to the company's growth story.

However, TKM has temporarily halted the dispatch of three models – Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Hilux – in the country due to irregularities discovered in the certification tests for the diesel powertrain. Despite this temporary setback, Toyota's overall performance in January underscores its resilience and strong market position.
