Towards Electric Future! Ather Energy opens its proprietary fast charging connector for other OEMs

Paving the way for the future of mobility, Hero Motocorp-backed electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy has announced that the company will offer its proprietary charging connector to other original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to adopt for their two-wheelers.  

“Today we are opening up the charging connector patents at @atherenergy. Any OEM can use them in their vehicles and chargers for free. Ather will also help with engg integration and support for the industry, at no cost. Killing proprietary standards - may a million chargers bloom!” Tarun Mehta, Co-founder & CEO, Ather Energy informed via Twitter.

Robust charging infrastructure is one of the major drivers in speeding up the faster adoption of electric two-wheelers. Ather Energy has devoted in building a fast charging network Ather Grid, which provides normal speed charge options to all-electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers free of cost.
