Inspired by the success of Tata Harrier, first product by the company to adopt its 'Impact 2.0 philosophy', the car manufacturer is set to release three new models based on the same design. The first in this list is expected to be the Tata Altroz premium hatchback which was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Several reports have emerged on the internet claiming that the new car will be launched this year itself, most likely around the festive season. It has also been claimed that Tata Altroz bookings will be open soon ahead of the launch.
However, Tata Motors has dismissed these reports by saying that it has not made announcement around the new car. The car maker asked people to stop speculating and requested them not to create panic among customers.
"In light of the recent media reports on Tata Altroz's bookings opening soon, we would like to clarify that this rumour is not true. The Company has not announced the bookings of Altroz. We would therefore urge everyone to not speculate or act on rumours and cause panic among customers," the company said in a statement on Sunday.

The reports of Tata Altroz bookings opening emerged after a few images of the car were leaked, revealing some of its features. One of the images also had 'bookings open' written on it which many people thought is a hint that the company will soon commence taking bookings for the Altroz. The leaks revealed that the Tata Altroz will come equipped with a cruise control system, ambient mood lighting and a Tata Harrier-like TFT colour driver information display. The images also suggest that the premium hatchback will feature a ninety-degree opening for the front doors.
This would be the first car to be based on the modular ALFA platform, which will also spawn the H2X-based sub-compact SUV, and possibly, a sedan as well. The company is also working on the electronic version of the car which was also unveiled alongside the regular hatchback at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
