Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has introduced its Gixxer 250 (Gixxer 250) bike in Indian market. The latest version of the Gixxer portfolio has a 4 stroke 249 cc engine, and is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and dual channel anti-lock brake system (ABS). The bike is said to be a unique example of Suzuki's advanced technology and superior quality, according to the company statement.

Priced at Rs 1,59,800 (Delhi ex-showroom), the Gixxer 250 features LED headlamp design, split seat, fuel tank and tank extensions. The new Gixxer also flaunts sporty dual muffler (exhaust), brushed finish alloy wheels and new digital instrument cluster, besides having bronze finish engine cover and side panels. 

Powered by a 249cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, which makes 26.5 PS of maximum power and 22.6 Nm of peak torque, Gixxer 250 is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Suzuki has also equipped the new bike with dual-channel ABS as standard safety equipment, besides enriching the new bike with the company’s trademark Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS), which was originally designed for Suzuki’s flagship litre-class supersport motorcycle, the GSX-R.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 is the naked version of the recently launched Gixar SF 250, and it will compete with motorcycles like Yamaha FZ25, KTM 250 Duke and Bajaj Dominar 400 in the market. Notably, the Gixxer 250 is available in two color options of Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Platinum Silver with Metallic Matte Black.
