At this opportunity, let us go through the history of Royal Enfield at a glance. In 1901, the first Royal Enfield motorcycle is produced. Designed by Bob Walker Smith and Frenchman Jules Gobiet, it is launched at the Stanley Cycle Show in London. The 1 1/2 hp engine is mounted in front of the steering head and the rear wheel driven by a long rawhide belt.
Royal Enfield has also planned various expeditions on its 120th year. On October 13, 2021, Royal Enfield tweeted from its official Twitter handle, "Since 1901, a simple question has fuelled our expeditions across continents and conditions: #WhereToNext. In 2021, our 120th year, this quest for the unknown leads us all the way to the South Pole."
