Royal Enfield may soon launch Thunderbird 350X, 500X in India
The new Thunderbird X twins are likely to have new handlebar, new seating, alloys, tubeless tyres and a matte black finish on the engine, suspension and exhaust.
To continue its mark in the motorcycle segment, Eicher Motors is likely to unveil most advanced and feature rich motorcycles, Thunderbird 350X and 500X, by January 2018 under its brand Royal Enfield.
According to a report on Rashlane.com, new Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X has started arriving at select dealers, as launch is scheduled to take place next month.
The new Thunderbird X twins will reportedly be launched with new handlebar, new seating, alloys, tubeless tyres and a matte black finish on the engine, suspension and exhaust.
These two new models are likely to come with colour options of Blue, Yellow, Red and White.
Expected to have a single cylinder 350cc engine, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X will deliver 19.8 bhp @ 5250 rpm and 28 Nm @ 4000 rpm via a 5 speed transmission.
While the bigger Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X is expected to feature the same 500cc single cylinder engine, air cooled twin spark, and will offer 27.2 bhp of peak power at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm.
The bigger version will also have a 5 speed transmission.
The report expects the price of these two bikes to be higher than the regular range of Thunderbirds present in the market.
At present, Thunderbird 350 is available at Rs 1.48 lakh, while Thunderbird 500 is being sold at Rs 2 lakh in ex-showroom Delhi.
The year 2017 has been good for Royal Enfield, as the company unveiled Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 twin-cylinder powered motorcycles at the EICMA motorcycle show.
