Royal Enfield Classic 350 is now available with a critically important new feature. Yes, Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS variant has been launched in India at a price of Rs 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS comes with the price jumping by Rs 5,800 for the additional feature when compared to the non-ABS bike. Further, the new Royal Enfield bike retains the same 350cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a five-speed transmission system.

According to reports, the new  Royal Enfield Classic 350 bike is equipped with a dual channel ABS so that the safety equipment operates on both wheels of the motorcycle. So far, only Classic 350 was left in the Royal Enfield Classic family to be updated with an ABS. By April 2019, all the two wheelers with an engine displacement of 125cc and above would have to have an ABS.

Engine of the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS is good for producing a maximum power output of 20 bhp, while the peak torque is rated at 28 Nm. This bike's suspension system comprises conventional telescopic forks up front along with twin spring shock absorbers at the rear. The braking system is equipped with a 280mm disc brake up front along with a 240mm disc brake at the rear.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 primarily compete against rivals like Jawa Forty Two. Buyers can also go for the KTM 200 Duke as it also comes in the same price category.

Notably the CBS (Combined Braking System) has been made mandatory from April 2019 month, keeping in mind the alarming number of fatalities in two-wheeler accidents on the roads. More manufacturers are expected to make an announcement in the coming days to update their entire portfolio with the CBS.
