Triumph 2021 Speed Twin is currently available in three colour options – Matt Storm Grey and Red Hopper are available for Rs 11,12,000, and Jet Black for Rs 10,99,000.
Triumph Motorcycles launches its latest performance icon - the 2021 Speed Twin - in India on 31st August. The company has updated it to provide higher performance, better handling and enhanced technology. The 2021 Speed Twin has upgraded chassis components and a more responsive, more powerful engine for the ultimate in character and performance, the company has mentioned.
The new Speed Twin price starts at Rs 10,99,000 in India. The 2021 Speed Twin is currently available in three colour options – Matt Storm Grey and Red Hopper are available for Rs 11,12,000, and Jet Black for Rs 10,99,000.
Tuned to deliver class-leading handling, the Speed Twin’s new 43mm Marzocchi USD cartridge forks are matched with twin rear shocks for 120mm of controlled damping and a confidence-inspiring ride.
A significant 1200CC HP engine update sees an increase in both peak power, now 3PS up at 100PS, and also mid-range power, which up by 5 per cent. With the torque, this is also up by 5 per cent in the mid-range, which is where the Bonneville twin engine excels, and better still, there is also a reduction in inertia thanks to a new lightweight crankshaft and a rare earth alternator. Combined with high compression pistons, revised ports and a new cam profile, the Speed Twin is even more responsive than before, spinning up faster and revving harder for longer, the company has mentioned.
Advanced modern technology allows the use of a ride-by-wire throttle, ensuring the perfect throttle response for enhanced rideability, safety and control. Similarly, the torque-assist clutch gives a light lever action for superb feel and reduced fatigue in the stop/start scenario of a town commute, Triumph Motorcycles said.
Enhancements to the engine, new high-specification Marzocchi suspension, new premium radially-mounted monobloc Brembo M50 brakes and new, lightweight wheels are just a few of the updates that reinforce this stunning stripped-back custom roadster’s position at the top of its class, Triumph Motorcycles added.
Triumph Motorcycles has also mentioned that despite these notable increases in performance, the updated engine exceeds EURO 5 emissions regulations making this the cleanest Speed Twin yet. The brushed stainless steel exhaust system has been carefully engineered to keep the cat box hidden while new twin upswept megaphone silencers deliver all of the trademark Speed Twin roar.
Confident and assured braking comes courtesy of powerful new premium specification Brembo four-piston M50 radial monobloc calipers, high-performance 320 mm floating discs and the latest generation ABS, it said.
