Okaya Ferrato launches its first electric motorcycle, Disruptor

Okaya, a battery manufacturer, has taken a significant leap into the electric mobility arena with the unveiling of its pioneering electric motorcycle. Branded as the Disruptor, this innovative two-wheeled marvel signifies the inaugural offering from Okaya EV's latest sub-brand, Ferrato. With a price tag of Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, excluding state subsidies), the Okaya Ferrato Disruptor promises an electrifying journey on the roads. The company has announced that deliveries of the Ferrato are scheduled to kick off by August 2024, heralding a fresh era of eco-conscious transportation solutions.

Embodying a sleek full-faired design, the Disruptor electric motorcycle showcases advanced features meticulously crafted for an exhilarating riding experience. Boasting a telescopic fork and a monoshock, it ensures impeccable handling across diverse road conditions. While featuring disc brakes on both wheels, the absence of anti-lock brakes (ABS) is offset by a combi-brake system (CBS), amplifying safety measures.

With 17-inch alloy wheels, the Disruptor offers ample onboard storage capacity of 16 liters. Fueling this eco-friendly ride is a robust 4 kWh LFP battery snugly nestled within its frame, delivering an impressive range of up to 129 kilometers on a single charge. Charging the motorcycle to full capacity takes approximately five hours, according to Okaya's specifications. With a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, the battery ensures enduring reliability.

Beneath the surface, the Disruptor accommodates a mid-mounted permanent magnet motor with a nominal output of 3.3 kW, peaking at 6.37 kW, and propels power through a chain drive system. Boasting a claimed top speed of 95 kmph, riders can choose from three distinct ride modes – Eco, City, and Sports – along with a convenient reverse assist mode, catering to diverse riding preferences and scenarios.

Loaded with an array of modern amenities, the Disruptor electric motorcycle offers a state-of-the-art riding experience. A highlight among its features is a part-digital instrument cluster, complemented by Bluetooth and GPS connectivity for seamless integration with smart devices.

Furthermore, the incorporation of vehicle live-tracking and geo-fencing capabilities bolsters security and provides peace of mind for riders. A side stand sensor adds an additional layer of safety to the riding experience. Available in three captivating colors – Inferno Red, Thunder Blue, and Stealth Black – the Disruptor caters to individual style preferences.
