November Auto Sales: Passenger, and commercial vehicle manufacturers report healthy figures, two-wheeler numbers decline

From two-wheeler to four-wheelers, most automobile companies are releasing the report of their monthly sales card on Thursday, December 1, 2022. The auto manufacturers, both listed and non-listed, are releasing data of their November volumes, sales, and exports figures.
Below is the list of auto firms that have so far released their November 2022 sales figures:
M&M November Sales
Mahindra & Mahindra on Thursday reported a 56 per cent rise in domestic passenger vehicles sales at 30,392 units in November 2022. The company had sold 19,458 units in the same month last year, M&M said in a regulatory filing.
Utility vehicle sales were at 30,238 units as against 19,384 units in the year-ago month, up 56 per cent. Sales of cars and vans were higher at 154 units as compared to 74 units in the same month last year.
Maruti Suzuki November Sales
The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Thursday reported 14 per cent increase in total wholesales at 1,59,044 units in November. The company had dispatched 1,39,184 units to dealers in November 2021, MSI said in a statement.
Last month, the company's domestic sales rose 18 per cent to 1,39,306 units as against 1,17,791 units in November 2021, it added.
Tata Motors November Sales
Tata Motors on Thursday said its total wholesales increased by 21 per cent to 75,478 units in November. The company had dispatched 62,192 units in November 2021.
The auto major said its total sales in the domestic market stood at 73,467 units last month, up 27 per cent, as compared to 58,073 units in the year-ago period. Commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market fell 10 per cent to 29,053 units, from 32,245 units in November 2021, it added.
Ashok Leyland November Sales
Hinduja flagship firm Ashok Leyland on Thursday reported 39 per cent increase in total commercial vehicle sales at 14,561 units in November 2022. The company had dispatched 10,480 units to its dealers in the same month last year, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.
Domestic sales were up 46 per cent at 13,654 units, against 9,364 units in November 2021, it added.
Bajaj Auto November Sales
Bajaj Auto on Thursday reported a 19 per cent decline in total sales at 3,06,552 units in November, compared to 3,79,276 units in the same month a year ago. Total sales in the domestic market stood at 1,52,716, down 4 per cent from 1,58,755 units in the same month last year.
Bajaj Auto said its exports last month were down 30 per cent at 1,53,836 units, as against 2,20,521 units in the same month last year.
KIA November Sales
Kia India on Thursday reported a 69 per cent rise in total sales at 24,025 units in November this year. The company had sold 14,214 units in the same month last year, Kia India said in a statement.
Flagship SUV Seltos led the sales with 9,284 vehicles with Sonet, Carens, and the Carnival recorded sales of 7,834, 6,360 and 419 units, respectively last month, it added.
Hyundai November Sales
Hyundai Motor India on Thursday reported 36 per cent increase in total sales at 64,004 units for November 2022. The company had dispatched 46,910 units to dealers in the same month last year.
Domestic sales were up 30 per cent to 48,003 units as against 37,001 units in November last year, the company said in a statement. Exports increased 61 per cent to 16,001 units as compared with 9,909 units in the year-ago period, it added.
Nissan November Sales
Nissan Motor India on Thursday said its total wholesales rose by 20 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 6,746 units last month, aided by increase in exports. The automaker had dispatched 5,605 units in November 2021.
The company saw a dip in domestic sales with 2,400 units last month, as against 2,651 units in November 2021. Exports increased to 4,346 units last month, from 2,954 units in the year-ago period.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor November Sales
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Thursday said its wholesales declined by 10 per cent to 11,765 units in November 2022. The company had sold 13,003 units in the domestic market in the year-ago period.
Skoda November Sales
Skoda Auto India on Thursday reported two-fold increase in sales for November 2022 at 4,433 units. The company had sold 2,196 units in the same month last year.
"We have doubled our annual sales this year, over 2021, with a big month of December still to go," Skoda Auto India Brand Director Petr Solc said in a statement.
MG Motor India November Sales
MG Motor India on Thursday said its retail sales increased by 64 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 4,079 units in November. The automaker had sold 2,481 units in the same month last year.
MG Motor India sells models like Hector, Astor and ZS EV in the domestic market.
