Nissan begins deliveries of the All-new 4th generation X-TRAIL premium SUV in India, check availability
The All-New X-TRAIL is equipped with a 1.5L Petrol Variable Compression-Turbo mated to Nissan’s ALiS Mild Hybrid 2WD engine mated with 3rd Gen XTRONIC CVT powertrain that produces 163ps and 300Nm of torque.
Nissan Motor India introduced the 4th generation X-TRAIL, a premium urban SUV, equipped with the world’s first production engine featuring Variable compression technology on 24th july, 2024 with the bookings open from today.
X-TRAIL has sold over 7.8 million units worldwide across four generations and is now available in India.

Key features:
- Engine and transmission: The X-TRAIL features a 1.5L Petrol Variable Compression-Turbo engine. It is the world's first production engine of its kind and is paired with Nissan’s ALiS Mild Hybrid 2WD engine and 3rd Gen XTRONIC CVT powertrain, producing 163 ps and 300 Nm of torque. This patented technology balances power and fuel efficiency. There is also the 12V ALiS mild hybrid system in the new X-TRAIL that provides torque assist, extended idle stop, quick restart, and coasting stop, improving both fuel economy and CO2 output.
- Durability: The SUV is built with a 360-degree Damage-Proof Armour Body, MIL-STD-810H certification, and IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. It includes a drop-resistant material and Panda Glass protection. The X-TRAIL features a exterior with signature Nissan design elements, including a floating roof, V-motion grille, and muscular wheel arches. It has R20 diamond-cut alloy wheels and aerodynamic features like 3D tire deflectors, active grille shutters, special A-pillar shaping, underbody covers, and an air curtain.
- Safety: Equipped with 7 airbags, Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Brake Limited Slip Differential (BLSD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill-start Assist (HSA), ABS with EBD, and all 4 Wheel Disc Brakes.
- Design and comfort: The X-TRAIL is 7.68mm slim and weighs 186g, featuring a 7-seater layout with 85-degree rear door opening for easy access and a trunk layout space of 585-liter capacity. It includes a 31.2cm Advanced Driver Display, R20 Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels, and a high-resolution TFT multi-information screen with a Panoramic sunroof. The X-TRAIL is available in Diamond Black, Pearl White, and Champagne Silver.
- Technology:The X-TRAIL has a high-definition 31.2 cm TFT multi-information screen and a 20.3 cm HD touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Additional features include an E-shifter, electronic parking brake, auto hold, drive modes, paddle shifters, dual-zone AC, cruise control, and auto-fold ORVMs.
- Booking and availability:Bookings open on July 26, 2024, with a booking amount of INR 1 lakh. Deliveries begin in August 2024.
