The sales figures of recently launched MG Motor is a big question mark in debates and discussions among car aficionados. British car brand Morris Garages on Friday announced that it has recorded retail sales of 3,536 units of the MG HECTOR in October 2019 while bookings have crossed 38,000 units so far.
In the month of September 2019, MG Motor India had announced that it has recorded retail sales of 2,608 units of the MG HECTOR.
Commenting on the sales performance, Rakesh Sidana, Director – Sales, MG Motor India, said, “MG HECTOR continues to further strengthen its position in its segment and win hearts of our customers. As we gradually ramp up our production, we aim to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction through timely vehicle deliveries."
Earlier, MG Motor India had delivered a record 700 units of the MG HECTOR on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras.
To mark the occasion, MG organised various vehicle delivery events across India to congratulate its customers and thank them for their contribution towards girl child education. As part of its association with IIMPACT NGO, the carmaker had earlier announced that it will sponsor the education of one girl child for every MG HECTOR sold in the country.
Making the festive season extra special for its Delhi-NCR customers, the carmaker delivered nearly 200 cars from a single point, marking one of the largest vehicle delivery events on Dhanteras.
MG Motor India has re-opened its bookings on September 29, backed by its plans to ramp up production. With increased supplies from its global and local component suppliers, the company is starting a second shift from November 2019.
