Maruti to showcase 18 vehicles in Auto Expo 2018
In the Auto Expo 2018, Maruti plans to make a powerful statement with concept for cleaner technology and future compact vehicle design.
In order to maintain its leadership in the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki is geared up to display over 18 vehicle models in the upcoming Auto Expo 2018.
According to Maruti, “Built around the theme of Transformation, the Maruti Suzuki pavilion will be spread over 4200 sq mt. It will have the largest vehicle display with a spectacle of over 18 vehicle models on display in ARENA, NEXA and Motorsports zones.”
In the Auto Expo 2018, Maruti plans to make a powerful statement with the concept of cleaner technology and future compact vehicle design.
The Maruti models which would be showcased in the Auto Expo include #ConceptFutureS, #Concept e-SURVIVOR, #nextgenHEV and third-generation Swift.
Here’s what these vehicles are all about.
Global premiere of #ConceptFutureS
After bagging leadership in the premium segment, the company is set to redefine the way compact cars are designed in India with #ConceptFutureS.
“Pegged as showstopper for the 2018 Auto Expo, #ConceptFutureS presents an all “new design language” for “compact cars” in India,” said Maruti.
Maruti believes that the next level of "design evolution” in terms of design proportions, body sculpting and stimulating fusion of bold patterns and superior accent colours has been achieved through the #ConceptFutureS".
India premiere of #Concept e-SURVIVOR
This would be the first concept of electric vehicle of the Maruti. It is design study model for a compact SUV that pays tribute to Suzuki’s proud 4WD heritage.
With the concept of e-SURVIVOR, the company seeks to take the excitement of driving to the next level and offer the fun of off roading ahead of its time, and yet be relevant to the present.
The e-SURVIVOR brings together many new technologies that depict the new and exciting F.A.C.E of Suzuki’s intent for Future Mobility. (Four-Wheel Drive, Autonomous, Connected & Electric).
Maruti said, “At Auto Expo 2018, it symbolizes Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to help develop the entire lifecycle of EVs in India including local manufacture of components, charging infrastructure and recycling of batteries.”
Showcasing #nextgenHEV
This hybrid will be displayed at Auto Expo with an aim to symbolise a critical part of the clean solution.
The company will unveil working model of the next generation Suzuki Hybrid system (HEV) that currently powers Suzuki Solio and Suzuki Swift cars manufactured and sold in Japan.
“High on efficiency and low on emissions, with capability of pure electric drive, this next generation hybrid system offers superior driving performance and acceleration,” said the company.
In domestic market, Maruti will work on a portfolio of xEV technologies to accelerate electrification of powertrains in India.
India launch of #allnewSwift
This one is the most awaited big ticket launches at Auto Expo 2018.
The all new Swift is engineered with the best of Suzuki’s design capabilities and built on the innovative 5th generation HEARTECT platform.
HEARTECT platform brings more strength and rigidity and helps to improve the power to weight ratio, leading to better acceleration performance for a peppy and fun to drive experience.

Maruti was trading today on negative note at around 1256 hours at Rs 9,404 per piece down by Rs 23.75 or 0.25% on the BSE, ahead of its third quarter result announcement for FY18.
