Maruti Suzuki launches Ignis Radiance Edition at a price lower than the base variant
The entry-level Ignis Radiance Edition is priced Rs 35,000 lower than the Sigma trim it is based on, which is originally priced at Rs 5.84 lakh. Despite the lower price, this edition includes accessories worth Rs 3,650, such as wheel covers for the 15-inch steel wheels, door visors, and chrome highlights in select areas.
Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Ignis Radiance Edition, starting at an attractive price of Rs 5.49 lakh. This launch is part of the company's strategy to boost sales in the currently sluggish mass-market segment.
The entry-level Ignis Radiance Edition is priced Rs 35,000 lower than the Sigma trim it is based on, which is originally priced at Rs 5.84 lakh. Despite the lower price, this edition includes accessories worth Rs 3,650, such as wheel covers for the 15-inch steel wheels, door visors, and chrome highlights in select areas.
Higher-spec variants of the Radiance Edition, including the Zeta (Rs 6.96 lakh - Rs 7.41 lakh) and top-spec Alpha (Rs 7.61 lakh - Rs 8.06 lakh), are also priced Rs 35,000 lower than their standard counterparts. These variants come with additional accessories valued at Rs 9,500, including new seat covers, black cushions, door cladding, and door visors.
Mechanically, the Ignis Radiance Edition remains unchanged, retaining the 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine with both manual and AMT gearbox options. The Ignis continues to compete with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the Citroen C3, and Maruti's own Wagon R, Swift, and Baleno models.
